Had dinner at Kamu Sushi on a Friday night, and it was lovely. We got seated at the bar right away, but it's a very small place so I definitely suggest coming here when you have some time to wait.
It's a very cozy place and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We tried the fire dragon, Philadelphia roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the spicy edamame. For us the fire dragon and spicy edamame were definitely the highlights. I found the shrimp tempura roll to be too sweet, but overall the food was great.
Before we left, someone recommended we try the seared escolar nigiri so we will have to come back to try that!

Theirs was an Amazing sushi experience !! Very small place you should make a reservation.

This is truly our favorite local Sushi restaurant!
Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and so worth the price . we love that the sushi is not rice heavy and has high quality ingredients!!!
Definitely visit this location if you are a Sushi lover !!!

Love coming here. My husband and I come here often (probably 50 times already). Great service, great food, great price, all around perfect & balanced experience. Highly recommended

Considering there are 4 sushi houses within a 2 block radius and have tried them all Kamu is by far my go to now , the owner not only went out of his way to take care of myself and my guys while working all night in the intersection of grand & airport on multiple occasions bringing us all hot quarts of ramen but also hosted my crew of 10 before closing to a delicious Okamese style meal , he started by asking us all what we liked and if anyone was allergic to anything and all of a sudden rolls were coming from every direction along with poke salads , appetizer's being a life ling resident of SSF and loving sushi this is my GO TO spot and constantly recommend its hard to find a small high quality sushi house that appreciates its customers , prices are considerably reasonable with the quality now when i walk in im greeted with a smile , head nod and simply asks what i feel like and what i want to spend and its all in his hands and im overly satisfied every time .... Highly recommend taking his Okamese style of dining and enjoying his art

Able to find parking at a public lot close by.
Would recommend grabbing a reservation. There didn't seem to be a sign up list and the place is very small.
Very small place, would avoid parties larger than 4.
Workers were nice but I felt like they needed an additional staff member as the workers were quite busy despite the small restaurant.
Tried a variety of items and honestly, I don't remember everything. However, the food is great. Fish tasted fresh and just melts in your mouth. The rolls are a little smaller than other places but it usually means they're more tasty and fresh.
The miso soup is a little pricey but they add clams to it and I've never tried it with clams before.
Great sushi place, would recommend trying the sushi and sashimi platters.
